An anthology of Georgian women poets was translated into French with the support of the Writers’ House. Presentation of “I am a lot. 15 Georgian Poet Women” will be held on Tuesday, March 30th.
This is the first French edition of Georgian poetry to be dedicated only to women.
“They are fifteen, fifteen women, born in small Georgia, not so well known, but a land of ancient civilizations. They are journalists, writers, teachers, translators, artists, playwrights and represent many generations,” the collection’s annotation reads.
The anthology includes poems by Lia Sturua, Maia Sarishvili, Ella Gochiashvili, Rusudan Kaishauri, Diana Anfimiadi, Eka Kevanishvili, Lia Likokeli, Lela Tsutskiridze, Irma Shiolashvili, Kato Javakhishvili, Lela Samniashvili, Mariam Tsiklauri, Nato Ingorokva, Nino Sadghobelashvili, and Tea Topuria.
