The Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili is to make a speech at the 76th session of the UN General Assembly, he is going to visit New York on September 20-25, reported the government administration.
On September 21, the general debate of the 76th session of the UN will officially open. The Prime Minister is scheduled to deliver a speech on September 24. The event will be attended by the Prime Minister of Georgia together with world leaders, high-level are planned.
In his speech, Garibashvili will focus on the challenges facing Georgia and the international community and the importance of joint efforts in solving them.
The main topic of the general debate at the 76th session of the UN General Assembly is “Increasing the resilience of countries through hope, so that people recover from new coronavirus, a sustainable economic recovery, responding to the needs of the planet, respecting human rights and reviving the essence of the United Nations.”
The Georgian delegation, led by the Prime Minister, includes Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Davit Zalkaliani, Minister of Education and Science Mikheil Chkhenkeli, and Head of the Government Administration Ilia Darchiashvili.
