The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili, again called on the public to get vaccinated at a government meeting on August 2.
“The epidemiological situation is very important for us, we have to manage the situation. We understand that growth and recovery is very important, and we have to manage the situation. The state and the government do everything for that. We have more than two million vaccines in Georgia, so I want to take this opportunity once again to call the public to get vaccinated soon,” the prime minister said.
Garibashvili noted he wants vaccines to be directly delivered to villages step by step. The Prime Minister stressed the importance of proper communication and explanation to the public that the vaccine is safe. “We have to believe the scientists and not the misinformers who spread a thousand kinds of lies and fake news,” the prime minister said.
