The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili, commented on the statement of the President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, and noted that according to the Constitution of Georgia, foreign policy is determined and implemented by the Parliament of Georgia.
“Every citizen of Georgia, and first of all, the highest political officials, is responsible for and it is our responsibility, duty to respect and protect the main law of our country, the Constitution.
Of course, it is very unfortunate that we have to talk about such topics when our country and population have so many challenges and problems, be it socio-economic or territorial problems, or other very difficult processes in the region, at this time, we have to talk in such a situation on issues that are explained, clear and unambiguous. All this is explained by the Constitution of Georgia,” Garibashvili said.
The Prime Minister noted that it seems that the President of Georgia is misled. “I want to express my hope that very soon everything will be clear and these questions will be removed.”
