Chairman of Parliament Shalva Papuashvili is holding a working meeting with the part of the opposition.
“At today’s closed meeting, the preparation of the law on deoligarchization will be discussed. We will offer the Ukrainian model to the opposition, which has adopted this law. We will hold a presentation of the principles on which Ukrainian law is based and listen to positions. We can take this law as a basis. The criteria of Ukrainian law are media influence, the relevant amount of money, interference in politics, and monopolistic activities. If a person meets three of these four criteria, she/he is considered an oligarch under Ukrainian law. Therefore, you can easily see how much these people, including the oppositionists in the opposition spectrum, meet the spirit of the law. Bidzina Ivanishvili cannot be considered an oligarch in the sense that these people want. Therefore, everything is clear and understandable on this issue,” said the chairman of the legal affairs committee, Anri Okhanashvili.
Aleko Elisashvili, Ana Buchukuri, Beka Liluashvili, Herman Sabo, and Fridon Injia attend the meeting from the opposition.
