Data from the Revenue Service revealed that the number of employees earning at least GEL 100,000 per month in Georgia increased significantly in 2025, reflecting continued wage polarization in the labor market.
A total of 35,615 employees reported monthly earnings of GEL 100,000 or more, up by 6,300 compared to 2024. Collectively, this group received GEL 8.18 billion in salaries over the year, an increase of GEL 1.2 billion year-on-year.
At the same time, overall employment income remained broad-based. In 2025, around 1.26 million employees earned salaries, with total wage payments reaching GEL 32.8 billion, including personal income tax.
The data also point to a wide dispersion of incomes. While 416,239 employees earned between GEL 1,200 and GEL 12,000 per month, 35,807 workers received salaries of less than GEL 600 per month, showing persistent income disparities across the labor market.
