Tbilisi is entering the final stage of its New Year preparations as the city completes the installation of festive lights and decorations across streets, parks and public squares. The City Hall stated that crews from Tbilservice Group have finished the last set of illumination works on Chavchavadze Avenue and Giorgi Tsereteli Street where Director Giorgi Papava reviewed the progress.
The city’s main Christmas tree is also nearing completion at First Republic Square. Tbilisi’s full holiday lighting display, including the tree, will be switched on 12 December.
City Hall reports that this year’s decorations cover nearly 90 streets and about 30 parks and squares. More than 250 Tbilservice Group employees and around 40 specialized vehicles were involved in daily installation work.
