A new Homeless Animals Population Management Center was constructed in Tbilisi in the vicinity of the Municipal Shelter for Animals.
Tbilisi Mayr Kakha Kaladze reported at the municipal government meeting that the new center will serve the capital for 24 hours.
“The project will allow to perform more widespread spay/neuter surgeries, which is one of the effective and humane methods to reduce the number of homeless animals,” Kaladze said.
Tbilisi Mayor added that the new center has a lab, surgery bloc, post-surgery space and other infrastructure.
