NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia James Appathurai is visiting Georgia.
James Appathurai’s visit will last for three days. A meeting with the Prime Minister, the Speaker of Parliament, and the President is planned. This is his last visit as Special Representative.
“The North Atlantic Alliance respects the role that the European Union has played in Georgia. I am glad that a large part of the reforms have been taken into account, although I know that there are difficulties. I have heard the statement of the US Ambassador regarding the reform of the judiciary. Points provided by Michel’s document are being implemented, but are not fully accomplished. In the end, I think the country is moving in the right direction,” Appathurai said in the interview with “Mtavari Arkhi.”
