The National Environment Agency has issued a statement warning citizens of the dangers of forest fires.
“The air temperature in Georgia will rise significantly on August 27-30. The air temperature in western Georgia may exceed 39 degrees, and in eastern Georgia, it may exceed 38 degrees.
On August 29-30, strong winds from the east will blow in the coastal areas of the Black Sea, in Upper Imereti, in the Kolkheti lowlands, and in the Gori-Surami section. High air temperatures and strong winds will create the conditions for forest fires,” the statement reads.
