The National Bank stated that in April, compared to the previous month, the average exchange rate of the GEL against the USD strengthened by 0.16%, and against the euro by 1.37%.
“The real effective exchange rate of the GEL depreciated by 3.3% annually, but it strengthened by 0.2% in the month. As for the index of the nominal effective exchange rate, the annual strengthening is 7.8%, and in the month – 0.8%”, the National Bank noted.
