Construction of a new football technical center and two artificial turf fields are almost completed in Rustavi, a significant addition to the city’s sports infrastructure.
The project, implemented by the Municipal Development Fund under the Ministry of Infrastructure, is designed to improve training conditions for athletes and promote the development of football in the region. The facility includes two fully lit football fields, a technical center, changing rooms, bathrooms and utility areas.
As the Ministry of Infrastructure stated, the center will be “fully equipped with appropriate furniture and equipment necessary for the maintenance of the fields.”
Funded with GEL 4.9 million from the state budget, the initiative is part of a bigger strategy to modernize regional sports facilities and support youth engagement in athletics.
