The Ministry of Internal Affairs has warned the protesters to avoid illegal actions and follow police guidelines since there “will be legal consequences if the violence escalates.”
According to the Ministry’s statement, some participants have crossed lawful boundaries by damaging lighting equipment and setting fire to electrical wiring. The statement urged rally participants to act within legally set boundaries.
“We urge rally participants to hold back from illegal actions and act under law enforcement directions. Otherwise, the Ministry will take measures dictated by Georgian legislation,” the statement said,
