Preliminary data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat) reveals that Employee earnings in Georgia continued to grow in 2024, with the median monthly income rising by 7.6% compared to the previous year.
The median monthly earnings reached 1,332 GEL, reflecting the midpoint of income distribution among employed persons. However, the figure remains 32.4% lower than the national average monthly earnings, underscoring the persistent income gap between higher and lower paid workers.
Across economic sectors, the highest median wages were recorded in:
- Public administration and defence; compulsory social security – 2,128 GEL
- Mining and quarrying – 2,069 GEL
- Information and communication – 1,983 GEL
- Construction – 1,943 GEL
- Financial and insurance activities – 1,919 GEL.
