As Ministry of Finance of Georgia stated, a media tour was held in Georgia ahead of the Annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). Lesley Beermann, ADB Resident Director for Georgia, Ekaterine Guncadze, Deputy Minister of Finance of Georgia and Mzia Giorgobiani, Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia joined journalists to visit and discuss some of the projects supported by ADB in the public sector:
• East-West and North-South Corridor projects;
• Urban Service Improvement Program in Georgian Cities – Kutaisi Water Supply Project;
• Municipal and Regional Development Program for Livable Cities and Balanced Regional Development – Kutaisi Fortress Project.
During the media tour, attention was drawn to ADB-funded projects in the public sector, including:
• “Capitalizing on Georgia’s Capital” for the renewal of energy, education and corporate governance;
• Tbilisi Holding’s Green Bonds for the import of electric vehicles and the improvement of public transportation;
• Georgian Renewable Power Operations (GRPO) for renewable energy operations.
