The political party Lelo for Georgia has paid the administrative fine imposed by a court decision, leading to the conclusion of enforcement proceedings, says a statement released by the National Bureau of Enforcement.
As a result, all restrictions previously placed on the party’s financial accounts have been lifted.
“We wish to inform the public that Lelo for Georgia has fulfilled its obligation by paying the court-ordered fine. Consequently, the National Bureau of Enforcement has completed the relevant proceedings and lifted the restrictions on the party’s accounts,” the announcement reads.
The Bureau emphasized that it operates strictly in line with the Law of Georgia “On Enforcement Proceedings,” ensuring that all actions by enforcement officers are guided by justice and the goal of effective enforcement.
It also reaffirmed that enforcement measures apply equally to individuals, legal entities, and even state institutions when based on valid enforcement documents issued by courts or authorized administrative bodies.
Irakli Kupradze, General Secretary of the “Lelo – Strong Georgia” coalition, announced on August 6 that the National Bureau of Enforcement had frozen the coalition’s official bank account.
At a special briefing, Kupradze called the action “a reckless attempt to obstruct the coalition’s political struggle,” claiming it forms part of a broader campaign of harassment against Lelo – Strong Georgia by the ruling party.
