Lasha Abashidze has been appointed Director General of Georgian Railways, replacing Davit Peradze. The decision was made by the company’s Supervisory Board on May 7 and has been officially registered in the public registry, as the BPN reported.
Peradze’s dismissal and Abashidze’s election, who previously served as deputy to then-Tbilisi Mayor Davit Narmania and later was the head of presidential administration under Giorgi Margvelashvili, is a major leadership change at the state-owned company.
