During a briefing at the Government Administration, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze addressed the country’s economic situation, claiming that there is no ongoing political crisis.
While he did recognize the short-term economic shock the country is being challenged by, he assured the audience that the recovery will be swift.
“We have experienced a short-term economic shock, but we will overcome it shortly, and everything will be refreshed at a doubled rate,” Kobakhidze said.
The PM differentiated the economic challenges from a political crisis, saying that the latter does not apply to Georgia since the country has ‘a stable majority’ in parliament.
“The country has a stable majority and stable government. Thus, there is no political crisis,” he concluded.
