At the 79th UN General Assembly, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze discussed Georgia’s commitment to becoming a ‘reliable transit hub’ to ensure energy security in Europe. He emphasized the importance of the Middle Corridor initiative for reaching this goal.
“By diversifying supply routes and investing in robust infrastructure, Georgia can enhance predictability in East-West connectivity, particularly through the Middle Corridor initiative,” Kobakhidze stated.
The Prime Minister’s speech sought to underscore Georgia’s strategic significance in the region and the necessity of utilizing it through big energy solutions, particularly in times of increasing geopolitical tensions.
