Kazakhstan will reroute 58,000 tons of crude oil to the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline this December, following disruptions at the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) system. The state operator Kaztransoil announced that the change comes after a drone strike damaged CPC’s marine infrastructure near Novorossiysk on 29 November, temporarily suspending shipments until repairs are completed.
Under the revised logistics plan, crude volumes transported through Aktau port to BTC will rise by 58,000 tons. Additional adjustments include an increase of 232,000 tons along the Atyrau–Samara route and 72,000 tons directed toward China compared to the original schedule.
To support oil producers affected by the disruption, Kaztransoil will also offer temporary storage services through December 2025. The company said that all transportation and storage arrangements are being coordinated with international partners and freight forwarders to ensure uninterrupted supply flows.
