At the meeting of the Tbilisi Municipality Government, the Mayor Kakha Kaladze announced that applications for funding from socially vulnerable students will be accepted from September 10 until October 30.
Until 2021, funding was provided for Tbilisi-based undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students whose families’ social score was 70,000 or less. Today, as a result of the changes, students registered in Tbilisi with a social score of 150,000 or less are now funded.
Funding, with a maximum amount of GEL 2250 per year and GEL 1125 per semester, depends on the student’s academic performance in the previous semester. Funding for tuition for socially vulnerable students is paid twice a year.
