In 2023, the cargo turnover of Georgian ports was 1.1 million tons less than in 2022. In particular, on average, in 2023, 7.5% less loaded ships entered and left Georgian ports than in 2022.
It should also be noted that from 1,619 ships that entered Georgia:
285 ships sailed under the Turkish flag,
253 ships sailed under the flag of Panama,
237 ships sailed under the flag of Liberia,
147 ships sailed under the Maltese flag,
74 ships sailed under the Russian flag.
