The National Environmental Agency has issued a warning about an upcoming heatwave, with temperatures in parts of Georgia expected to soar as high as 41°C.
The agency says that from July 27 to 31, Western Georgia’s lowland and mountainous regions will experience extreme heat, while similar conditions are forecast for Eastern Georgia’s plains and mountainous areas between July 29 and 31. Temperatures are expected to range between 38°C and 41°C.
The agency also cautioned that the intense heat poses a heightened risk of heat stress and forest fires, noting that the danger level is currently assessed as moderate.
