Batumi’s hospitality and wellness sector has recently welcomed a new player, one that has already distinguished itself with its refined atmosphere, premium services, and thoughtfully crafted environment. Grand Bellagio Spa, opened only recently, has rapidly become a favorite among both locals and visitors seeking high-quality care, tranquility, and a sense of renewed balance. What was once an idea exchanged in a casual conversation has grown into one of the city’s most notable wellness destinations.
At the core of this project stands Iza Dumbadze, whose determination, disciplined leadership, and personal standards of excellence shaped Grand Bellagio Spa into the space it is today. She transformed a concept into a large-scale, fully realized facility in a remarkably short time a process she openly describes as both challenging and deeply rewarding.

From a Conversation to a Large-Scale Operation
The story of Grand Bellagio Spa began unexpectedly. “One day, my best friend and I were simply talking about spa centers in general,” Iza Dumbadze recalls. “During the conversation, I felt a very strong desire to lead such a facility. I knew it would require everything, from building out the space from the black frame, to hiring staff and designing the structure.”
By her own admission, Dumbadze is not naturally risk-inclined. It was encouragement from a close friend that pushed her toward pursuing a project of this size. That encouragement became the catalyst for the creation of a spa that today sets a new standard in Batumi.
A Space Designed for Harmony and Aesthetics
In the broader wellness market, thoughtful design plays a decisive role. Iza Dumbadze envisioned a space where guests would feel inner harmony and peace the moment they entered.
The interior of Grand Bellagio Spa blends classic elegance with modern, luxurious aesthetics, creating an environment that prioritizes calm, balance, and sensory coherence. Lighting, scent, music, and color choices, all were personally reviewed, adjusted, and approved by Dumbadze herself.
“The concept and every detail were planned directly by me,” she says. “I wanted the guest to walk into more than just a spa, but a high-standard wellness environment.” A curated photo gallery, carefully balanced décor, and warm, classic elements come together to create a space that is both inviting and sophisticated.
Premium Services with a Holistic Approach
Grand Bellagio Spa offers a full range of premium wellness services:
• Therapeutic and relaxation massages
• Innovative facial and body treatments
• Individually tailored wellness programs
• Relaxation zones
• Fitness and aerobics spaces
• A beauty salon
Particular emphasis is placed on highly trained, certified specialists, including Batumi’s only certified buccal facial massage therapist. This service, known for its intensive sculpting and rejuvenating technique has quickly become one of the spa’s signature offerings. Iza Dumbadze herself follows a strict self-care routine and emphasizes the importance of professionalism: “Finding qualified therapists was essential. I needed experts I could trust with my own care before entrusting them with my guests.”

Leadership: Discipline, Emotional Intelligence, and Consistency
Iza Dumbadze’s leadership style is shaped by more than two decades of professional experience in Georgia’s development and hospitality sectors. She previously worked on major projects such as the Batumi House of Justice, Castello Mare, and Kempinski, later spending seven years at the Sheraton and three more years at an American development company as a sales manager.
These experiences formed the professional foundation that now informs her management at Grand Bellagio Spa. She runs two departments, both built from the ground up through carefully structured processes and handpicked teams. “I don’t call my approach strict. I’m gentle and calm, but I insist on discipline, responsibility, and mutual respect. Only with these principles can work be effective.”
Entrepreneurship in Georgia
When reflecting on the broader environment for women in business in Georgia, Iza Dumbadze notes the duality of progress and challenge. “To be a businesswoman here means both fight and victory fighting with ourselves and sometimes with the surrounding noise,” she explains. “The closer you move toward success, the more negativity you encounter. But the success of any woman is a motivation for me.”
She emphasizes that consistency, emotional balance, and inner discipline matter just as much as strategic planning or investment. “I have worked tirelessly since I was 21. Hard work is irreplaceable; no one achieves success without it.”
Balancing Professional Leadership with Personal Identity
For Iza Dumbadze, the journey of building a career was made easier by the support of her parents, especially while raising her daughter, Salome, who is currently studying psychology in Louisiana.
Speaking about her daughter remains an emotional topic for her. “She is smart, principled, incredibly kind: a rare teenager of the 21st century,” she says, visibly moved. Motherhood, entrepreneurship, and emotional depth coexist naturally in her life, and she believes that a woman’s inner stability is the core of her success.
The Philosophy of Success
Success, according to Iza Dumbadze, is not defined by public accolades or financial indicators alone. “A person becomes successful when they maintain inner harmony, even when there is a storm outside.
Success is waking up with purpose, knowing what you serve, and being able to say: ‘I am where I need to be.’” This philosophy permeates the atmosphere of Grand Bellagio Spa, which is designed to help visitors find the same inner clarity and balance.
A Vision for Growth
Grand Bellagio Spa aims to expand its role in Batumi’s wellness ecosystem. For Iza Dumbadze, the future lies in holistic well-being, where physical care merges with emotional and mental balance. “A spa is no longer just a place to relax. It is a space that fosters complete harmony. I believe Bellagio Spa will soon establish an unrivaled position in Batumi.”
One of the standout features of the facility is its outdoor pool and expansive terrace, overlooking the sea and the new boulevard an area Iza Dumbadze plans to activate through summer events, collaborations, and corporate gatherings. “We are ready to cooperate with companies that want to host events on our terrace. The potential of this space is enormous.”

What She Wants Every Guest to Experience
Since the soft opening on October 1 and the official opening on November 12, Grand Bellagio Spa has welcomed numerous guests, many of whom share sincere impressions that deeply touch the founder.
“Guests often say, ‘What a beautiful, tasteful space,’ or ‘It’s the best in the city.’ These words stay with me forever. They are my victory over myself.” Her ultimate goal is simple: “I want every guest to feel the love and sincerity embedded in this environment.”
Advice to Her Younger Self and to Young Women Today
If she could speak to her younger self, Iza Dumbadze’s message would be clear and urgent: “I would tell my 25- or 30-year-old self: Hurry up. Act faster. Every day, every hour matters. Be more adventurous. The results will always teach you something.”
To the new generation of young women starting their journey, she offers advice grounded in balance: “Know what you want and what makes you happy. Success is not about abandoning personal life, it is about controlling emotions, keeping your mind calm, and maintaining inner balance.”
A New Standard
With its sophisticated environment, premium services, and carefully structured management, Grand Bellagio Spa is not just another wellness center, it is a new landmark in Batumi’s service industry.
Driven by a founder who combines discipline, emotional intelligence, and a deep commitment to excellence, the spa not only elevates the city’s wellness scene, but also stands as an example of modern female leadership in Georgia.
Where she works, everything must be the best, and Grand Bellagio Spa reflects exactly that.
