Georgia’s passenger turnover during the third quarter of 2024 reached 597.9 million passengers, marking a 45% increase in the number of passengers transported and a 69.1% growth in year-on-year turnover, Geostat reports.
A detailed breakdown follows:
- Freight transport increased by 69.6 thousand tons of cargo, with a turnover of 159.8 million tonne-kilometers.
- Passenger traffic at airports increased by 20.6% to 2.46 million, with arrivals surging by 21.2% and departures rising by 20.1%.
- Scheduled flights were responsible for 93.7% of passengers.
Total flights grew by 15.8%. - Freight flights increased by 89.4%, with 88% of cargo operations classified as inbound.
