Between January and October 2024, Georgia’s external merchandise trade, excluding non-declared types, reached USD 19,022.4 million, marking a 5.5% year-on-year increase, preliminary figures from the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat) report.
The detailed breakdown is as follows:
- Exports: increased by 7.4%, reaching USD 5,468.4 million
- Imports: increased by 4.8%, reaching USD 13,554.0 million
- Trade deficit: USD 8,085.6 million, representing 42.5% of the total trade turnover.
