Geostat recently published a report revealing that the Domestic Producer Price Index (DPPI) for industrial products in Georgia increased by 1.3% in January 2025.
The bulk of the price growth was caused by the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning sectors, which, overall rose by 5.6% during the mentioned period.
The DPPI has grown by 3.8% compared to January of 2024, with the biggest increases recorded in mining and quarrying at 11.1%. Then comes manufactured products with a 2.8% increase and the mix of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning at the end of the list with an 8.8% increase. At the same time, the prices for waste management, water supply, and remediation services are unchanged and stable.
