The National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat) published a report on Georgia’s external merchandise trade (excluding non-declared ones) revealing an increase of 39.2% at USD 2.01 billion.
Exports also grew by 19.3%, reaching USD 403.8 million, whereas imports increased slightly at 45.4%, equaling USD 1.60 billion. Consequently, the country’s trade deficit increased to USD 1.20 billion, making it 59.7% of total trade turnover.
