In the period from January to October 2023, Georgia witnessed notable growth in its export and import figures.
The National Statistics Office of Georgia reported a 12.5% increase in exported products, totaling USD 5.103 billion, compared to the same period in 2022.
Imports also surged by 17.8%, reaching USD 12.683 billion during the same ten months. Consequently, the total foreign trade turnover, excluding undeclared trade, amounted to USD 17.786 billion, reflecting a substantial 16.2% rise from the previous year. However, a concerning aspect is the negative trade balance, which stood at $7.581 billion, constituting 42.6% of the foreign trade turnover.
