Georgia’s wine exports continued to expand in the first quarter of 2026, reflecting a sustained demand across both traditional and new markets. The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, a total of 17.3 million liters of wine were exported to 51 countries, generating $53.2 million in revenue.
Compared to the same period last year, export volumes increased by 5%, while the total value rose by 7%, indicating both higher demand and improved pricing dynamics in international markets.
Growth was particularly notable across several strategic export destinations:
- Germany: exports reached 375,000 liters, up 32% year-on-year
- United Kingdom: exports increased by 9%, totaling 86,000 liters
- China: exports rose by 4%, reaching approximately 831,000 liters
These figures show Georgia’s continued success in diversifying its export markets and strengthening its position in both European and Asian regions. The data shows the growing international presence of Georgian wine, supported by targeted export strategies and increasing recognition of its quality and heritage.
