To expand access to technology education for the younger generation, TBC Bank, in partnership with Business and Technology University, has launched the Georgian Tech Olympiad Hub. The hub is designed to identify, train, and prepare students for participation in international competitions, including the European Girls’ Olympiad in Informatics, as well as to form national teams.
One of the hub’s standout participants is Gvantsa Khvedelidze, a student who has represented Georgia with distinction at international informatics Olympiads, earning multiple accolades. According to Gvantsa, her achievements are rooted in self-belief, intensive study, and consistent hard work. After winning a bronze medal at an international Olympiad in 2023, she successfully repeated this accomplishment in 2025. Currently a prospective university entrant, Gvantsa plans to pursue a career in computer science.
Gvantsa highlights the importance of EGOI as a platform that empowers young women to showcase their skills in technology free from stereotypes. She also notes that the Georgian Tech Olympiad Hub plays a crucial role in preparing students both academically and mentally for high-level competitions.
“Girls sometimes face challenges in learning informatics due to stereotypes and negative comments. That’s why spaces like this are so important—they help them overcome fear, embrace challenges, and invest in what they truly love. Remember, you can achieve anything as long as you believe in yourself,” said Gvantsa Khvedelidze.
The Georgian Tech Olympiad Hub continues to support emerging tech talent, enabling students to demonstrate their abilities on the international stage. Those interested in testing their skills in technology Olympiads are encouraged to apply and unlock their potential while competing with top global tech enthusiasts. Registration for the EGOI selection round is open until March 21.
Belief in one’s goals, interests, and abilities is the first step toward success. Through TBC Bank’s free educational initiatives—including TBC Tech School, Campus, IT Academy, the Tech Olympiad Hub, and the AI Student Club—students gain valuable knowledge, build their first digital projects, discover their strengths, and shape their own stories in the world of technology.
