Georgian authors and publishers will once again take part in the Frankfurt Book Fair. Facilitated by the leading publishing houses in Georgia—Sulakauri Publishing, Atanuji, Intelekti, and Palitra L—in collaboration with various cultural organizations, this marks the second consecutive year of Georgian participation in ongoing cultural boycotts protesting oppressive policies.

Georgian writers who will engage with global audiences include Iza Pezuashvili, Lasha Bugadze, and translator Natia Mikeladze-Bakhsoliani, with the Georgian stand serving as an open space for any Georgian publisher to participate.

According to Sulakauri Publishing’s report, the Georgian delegation will once again declare the country’s commitment to EU integration and emphasize that such cultural showcases are crucial in achieving these goals.

Event highlights include discussions on contemporary Georgian literary trends and the presentation of Iva Pezuashvili’s novel ‘Bunker.’

The fair runs from October 18 to 22, 2024.
