Georgian Olympic team to receive a prize of GEL 50,000

The Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced that every member of Georgia’s Olympic team will receive a GEL 50,000 prize for their contributions, regardless of winning a medal. The announcement was made during a ceremony at the State Ceremonies Palace, honoring the team’s efforts ahead of the Paris Olympics.

“To recognize their contributions, a GEL 50,000 bonus will be awarded to every team member who did not win a medal at the Olympics but contributed to the overall success. Coaches, medical personnel, and other staff will also receive increased bonus wages,” Irakli Kobakhidze said.
