Leuville Georgian-French Memorial Museum has been set up on the Leuville estate in France. It joined the Georgian National Museum’s group under the country’s Minister of Culture’s decree.
According to the Georgian National Museum, a historical space will be arranged on the first floor of the château. This space will house a portion of the Georgian-French Memorial Museum. Noe Jordania’s office will be located on the second floor. Library, exhibition, and residential spaces are also planned.
The Leuville estate renovation, according to state obligations, should be completed in September 2026.
A significant historic milestone for Georgia was reached in France in 2016 when a document was signed officially transferring the Leuville Estate back to Georgia after 89 years. The signing of the agreement ended the 25-year-long handover process of the 4.5-hectare estate, where the first Georgian government settled in exile after fleeing Soviet occupation in 1921.
