Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili met with MEPs, Georgia-EU Committee Chair Marina Kaljurand and Rapporteur for Georgia Sven Mikser as part of his visit to Brussels.
The meeting focused on Georgia-EU relations and the reforms implemented or ongoing in Georgia within the Association Agreement.
Ilia Darchiashvili reaffirmed the country’s commitment to the course of reforms and pledged to do more to meet the criteria required for EU membership.
The sides discussed the impact of the ongoing war in Ukraine on regional security and the challenges facing Georgia.
The Minister thanked Marina Kaljurand and Sven Mikser for their efforts in supporting Georgia.
