Tengiz Tsertsvadze, Director General of Infectious Diseases, AIDS and Clinical Immunology Research Center, discussed the upcoming plans regarding the vaccination process in Georgia.
“As far as I know, negotiations are successfully underway with Novavax, and an agreement has been reached for the supply of one million doses,” Tengiz Tsertsvadze, Director General of Infectious Diseases, AIDS and Clinical Immunology Research Center, told Rustavi2.
He added: “It’s 25% [of what we need], and it’s not a bad thing that about 700,000 people will be vaccinated in the autumn and winter, and there will be a lot of negotiations before the end of the year.”
According to CNBC, Novavax expects FDA clearance for the Covid vaccine as early as May.
