Tens of thousands of people were left homeless as a result of the devastating earthquake in Kahramanmaras on February 6. Helping them and providing them with essentials is vital.
In this difficult situation, people’s unanimity and support are crucial. For this purpose, in order to help the affected population in a timely manner, a list of necessary items was established in coordination with the Turkish Embassy, with the participation of MÜSİAD and Gurtiadi – Turkish Businessmen’s Association in Georgia (GURTIAD). Special accounts were opened and the collection process started.
From the very beginning of this initiative, the population of Georgia throughout the country has been involved in the process, people have shown unprecedented support, for which we are very grateful to each and every one of them.
On Friday, together with the representatives of the embassy, Musiad chairman Ozgur Yujeli and Gurtiad chairman Osman Turani will make a statement about the collected items and money. Loaded vehicles will also leave for Turkey.
