The head of the National Center for Disease Control, Amiran Gamkrelidze stated the number of coronavirus cases confirmed today, which is displayed on the website, does not reflect the reality, because due to technical work on the portal, not all data has been uploaded.
“Today there are 4,000 cases and, unfortunately, 21 deaths. This infection figure does not reflect the real situation as we have a high positive rate, somewhere around 40%,” he said. The data will be updated soon to reflect the Monday and Tuesday figures.
4028 new cases of coronavirus have been registered in Georgia, 21 people have died, and 22,517 people have recovered.
A total of 1,458,093 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Georgia since February 2020, of which 1,270,759 have recovered and 15,577 have died.
The newly confirmed cases are divided by region as follows:
2 228 cases were confirmed in Tbilisi, Adjara – 303, Imereti – 450, Kvemo Kartli – 259, Shida Kartli – 207, Guria – 89, Samegrelo – Zemo Svaneti – 203, Kakheti – 210, Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 27, Samtskhe-Javakheti – 48 , Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 4.
2,775,482 people have been fully vaccinated so far.
On February 13, 15,712 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Georgia, 21,623 patients recovered and 40 died.
