The Roads Department of Georgia under the Ministry of Infrastructure has announced an international tender for construction supervision services covering main sections of the Tbilisi Bypass Project.
The tender focuses on two segments: Lot 4, an 8.7-kilometer stretch connecting Tbilisi International Airport to the Lochini Interchange and Lot 5, a 10.2-kilometer section extending from Lochini toward Rustavi.
The estimated value of the supervision contract is $15.1 million, financed by the Asian Development Bank. Interested companies are required to submit proposals in English through the ADB platform by April 21, 2026.
Authorities say the selection of a supervision firm will be followed by a separate tender for construction contractors for these sections, which is the next phase in the project’s rollout.
Meanwhile, procurement processes are already in progress for other parts of the bypass. The second lot, connecting Tsitsamuri and Avchala, is valued at GEL 490 million, while the third lot, connecting Avchala to the airport, is estimated at GEL 932 million.
Once completed, the Tbilisi Bypass will span approximately 49 kilometers, with total investment expected to exceed GEL 2 billion. The project is designed to ease congestion in the capital and improve transit connectivity across important transport corridors.
