Georgia’s Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture, Davit Songulashvili, has announced that during the ongoing visit to China, several memoranda of cooperation will be signed between Georgia and the People’s Republic of China, including important agreements in the agricultural sector.
“These memoranda aim to facilitate the exchange of expertise and establish new strategic priorities,” Songulashvili said. “Fostering new opportunities between our two countries is vital, particularly in areas such as environmental protection, waste management, biodiversity, eco-tourism, and air quality.”
The Minister highlighted that a specific agreement between the two countries’ agriculture ministries will enable Georgia to export poultry products to China, marking a significant step in deepening trade relations and enhancing Georgia’s agricultural export potential.
“This agreement reflects the active cooperation and mutual trust in quality standards between our countries. It will support the further development of Georgia’s agricultural sector, stimulate production, and strengthen the overall economy,” Songulashvili noted.
