George Khanishvili, the Deputy Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture, told the media that the cheapest flour is imported to Georgia and, consequently, we have the cheapest bread.
Khanishvili noted that there are stocks of flour in Georgia and production of bread in the country is not endangered.
“The country made a choice when it allowed businesses to import the cheapest flour. Georgia imports the cheapest flour and, consequently, we have the cheapest bread. The supplies are not in wheat but in flour,” said Khanishvili.
