Economic growth accelerated to 8.3% in December 2023, following a 5.9% increase in the previous month, Galt & Taggart reports. In total, in 2023, the economy of Georgia grew by 7.0%. In addition, the nominal GDP increased by 10.2% annually and amounted to 79.7 billion GEL (30.3 billion USD), and the GDP per person increased by 21.5% annually and exceeded 8,100 USD.
Moreover, in January 2024, the exchange rate of the GEL in relation to the USD strengthened by 0.2% compared to the previous month and traded within 2.68, which indicates the stability of foreign exchange inflows.
