On December 21-23, harsh meteorological conditions are expected in Georgia: precipitation, mostly in the form of snow, and strong wind. Heavy snow, fog, and a snowstorm are expected in the mountains, while a storm at sea, icy roads, freezing of power lines, and an avalanche danger in mountainous regions are also to be expected.
Traffic will be restricted on certain roads. On December 23-26, during the night hours in the Kolkheti lowlands, the air temperature is expected to drop to -4, -6 degrees, which may cause damage to citrus crops.
