The National Center for Disease Control reports that seasonal flu vaccinations will be free for all citizens starting November 4. The immunization process will deploy a four-component vaccine created by Abbott Biologicals B.V., specifically produced to combat strains that are expected to circulate during the upcoming flu season.
As part of the initiative, the vaccination will first be administered to those who are most vulnerable to the flu, followed by other willing citizens. Currently, approximately 37,000 citizens have already been vaccinated, with a minimum age of 6 months required.
Citizens are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to protect themselves and the public from spreading influenza at the facilities offering the service.
