National Wine Agency reported that the participating wineries exported a combined 676,685.75 litres of wine to target markets in 2025, a 20% increase compared to the previous year.
The growth is attributed to targeted marketing efforts supported by the programme which focuses on expanding Georgian wine presence in international markets across Europe, the Americas and Asia.
The state program, approved by the Government of Georgia in September 2021, is designed to enhance export potential and diversify markets for Georgian wine producers. It is implemented by the National Wine Agency in coordination with the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.
Under the programme, co-financing is allocated specifically for marketing expenses, with eligibility limited to companies exporting to priority markets outside the CIS and GUAM regions.
The agency emphasized that only companies meeting strict criteria are selected for support, ensuring that resources are directed toward producers with strong export potential and strategic market focus.
