The deputy minister of foreign affairs, Aleksandre Khvtisiashvili stated, the first stage of the evacuation of Georgian citizens from Sudan has been completed.
Georgian citizens who were in Khartoum, the capital of Sudan, have been transferred to the neutral zone on the Sudan-Egypt border. Their lives and health are not in danger.
“We can say that with the involvement of our embassies, our partners, and companies, this evacuation was successfully carried out, and at the moment, not a single citizen of Georgia is in Sudan. Everyone has been safely taken out of this country,” Khvtisiashvili stated.
