Georgia’s Emergency Management Service reports that a fire that broke out in the Lilo settlement area of Tbilisi has been fully extinguished.
The blaze, which ignited in an open space containing wooden materials, prompted an emergency response earlier in the day. Fire crews were dispatched to the scene and worked to contain the flames.
As confirmed by the Emergency Management Service to 1 TV Georgia, “The fire broke out in an open area where wooden materials were stored.”
Authorities also stated that no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
Investigation concerning the cause of the fire as well as material damage assessment is ongoing.
