The National Environmental Agency has issued a weather warning for Georgia on October 29, forecasting widespread rain and strong westerly winds in some regions. Forecasters also predict possible thunderstorms and storm surges reaching 4–5 points at sea.
“The expected precipitation may lead to a significant rise in river levels, flash floods in small rivers, and the initiation or activation of landslides and mudflows in hilly and mountainous areas, with a medium level of danger,” the agency said in a statement.
Residents are advised to exercise caution, particularly in vulnerable areas prone to flooding and landslides.
