EcoVille Holding is one of the key players in the solar energy sector across the region.
With over 300 MW of capacity designed and installed, and more than 10,000 completed projects, the company delivers full-cycle EPC services across residential, commercial, and utility-scale segments, as well as energy trading and energy storage systems production. Its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and service quality has earned EcoVille a strong global presence and a reputation reinforced by strategic partnerships with leading solar manufacturers.
Following its success in Armenia and Georgia, EcoVille expanded its international operations to Switzerland in 2024, bringing top-tier engineering, project execution, and sustainability expertise to every market it enters backed by a team of over 350 professionals.
Now, to learn more about EcoVille’s journey and future plans, we’ll speak with the company’s leadership, starting with Tigran Okhanyan, Founder of EcoVille Holding.
Tigran Okhanyan – Founder of EcoVille Holding
Q: Looking back over the past decade, how would you summarize EcoVille Holding’s key achievements and what sets it apart in the solar energy sector?
“From day one, our mission at EcoVille was to make clean energy not just accessible, but reliable and high-quality — whether for a home, a business, or a utility-scale power plant. Since founding the company in 2015, we’ve installed over 300 MW of solar capacity and completed more than 10,000 projects across the region.
Some of our key milestones include launching our full-cycle EPC model, expanding into large-scale solar development, and establishing deep partnerships with global technology leaders. In the past year alone, we built 10 utility-scale solar farms totalling 60 MW, and provided design and author supervision for an additional 75 MW, at a rate of 1 MW per day during the peak periods.

What sets us apart is consistency. We grow by investing in our teams, standardizing quality, and staying close to the customer even after installation through monitoring, service, and long-term support. That’s how we’ve built trust, and that’s how we’ll continue to scale.”
Andrey Apresov – Head of International Business & Deputy Director
Q: EcoVille is expanding further, having opened a dedicated branch in Switzerland in 2024.What does this expansion mean for the company’s global strategy, and how do you view the opportunities and challenges in new and emerging markets like Georgia?
“Expanding into Switzerland in 2024 was a key milestone in EcoVille Holding’s international growth. Switzerland is a highly regulated, well-developed market, and entering it validated that our technical standards and service quality meet top-tier European benchmarks. We’ve already started delivering residential and commercial projects there, contributing to the country’s long-term Energy Strategy.
This international boost strengthens our ability to transfer advanced expertise, technologies, and best practices across markets, including to arising markets like Georgia. The country offers significant solar capacity, growing investor interest, and favorable long-term conditions for renewable energy development. It’s a market with strong momentum, and we’re proud to contribute to its transformation by sharing our know-how, training local professionals, and supporting high-quality solar implementation.

That’s why we’re not just exporting technology, we’re investing in local capacity-building, from training engineers and installers to supporting policy adaptation that enables long-term market growth. Our goal is clear: whether in Armenia, Georgia, or Switzerland, every market we operate in benefits from the same high standards of quality, speed, and reliability that define EcoVille Holding..”
Mamuka Mchedlishvili – CEO of EcoVille Georgia
Q: What specific steps has EcoVille Georgia taken to adapt to the local market’s evolving needs, especially with upcoming legislative changes, and how are you positioning the company to lead in residential, commercial and large-scale solar development?
“Georgia’s solar sector is evolving quickly both in regulation and demand, and we’re fully committed to staying ahead. In 2024, we focused on expanding our operational readiness: strengthening our team, enhancing service capacity, and preparing for the expected shift from net metering to net billing.

Forecasting the upcoming legislative changes, we will be ready to offer energy storage systems produced by EcoVille. These systems allow clients to store and use more of their own energy, increasing independence and reducing reliance on the grid. We’re also prepared to provide direct connection solutions as an additional option. Every project we implement is tailored to the customer’s specific needs, whether residential, commercial or utility-scale.
At the same time, we’re actively raising awareness across the country through education, outreach, and public engagement, especially in regions where knowledge of solar energy is still developing.

On the large-scale side, we’re applying the Holding’s extensive utility-scale experience and currently support investors with engineering, design, and construction supervision services. We’ve also launched training programs for local installers and service teams, aligning them with international standards.
Our long-term goal isn’t just to install solar systems, it’s to build the market itself, with trust, resilience, and long-term value.”
