A 59-year-old man infected with coronavirus jumped from the window of the First University Clinic in Tbilisi and died on the spot.
The clinical director of the Hospital, Lali Turdzeladze, says investigative actions are underway at the clinic.
“He opened the window with something and jumped. There were two people in the ward. One was discharged, and this patient was expected to leave the clinic tomorrow,” Turdzeladze told TV Pirveli.
She noted that the patient had no mental problems and his condition was satisfactory.
“The patient, 59 years old, entered our clinic on February 5. The patient was in a serious condition, Covid-infected, and placed in the intensive care unit. His condition in the intensive care unit improved and he was transferred to the ward on February 8,” the doctor said.
